While the blame game is rampant in today’s Politics. A unique organization in Karnataka Yuva Brigade is silently sweating for the society.
Yuva Brigade was formed in 2013 by a group of service-oriented individuals who intend to do something good for the country. The organization’s multi-diversified community, of more than 1.5 Lakh people, consists of Students, IT employees, industrialists, Bankers, Entrepreneurs, farmers, Lawyers, journalists, Social Activists, political analysts and people other sectors. Everyone has come together with the common intention. To serve the nation, to serve the people.
Since it’s inception in 2013 Yuva Brigade has made tremendous impact to the local society. Some of their key contribution include in environment protection, cleanliness, combating social evils, breaking caste prejudice, supporting soldiers etc.
Environment Protection and Swachch Bharath.
In 2014, Yuva Brigade under the initiative ‘Jal Jeevan’ took up the initiative to cleans the unclean and garbage dumped Kalyanis (Temple tanks) all over the state. By cleaning over 90 Temple tanks in Karnataka and a few in Goa and Kerala. Over 35 tanks are now filled with clean potable water which was earlier blocked due to plastic dumping.
The work done was noticed and welcomed by public. The initiative was also noted and appreciated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Under the initiative named ‘Prithvi Yoga’ Yuva Brigade volunteers across Karnataka planted over One Lakh trees.
Initiative for Eco-Friendly Ganesh Chaturthy.
The volunteers of Yuva brigade virally spread the state to stop the usage of Plaster of Paris for Ganesh Chathurthi and conducted workshops on how to prepare the Clay Idol. Yuva Brigade have also supplied thousands clay idols to various districts of Karnataka thereby encouraging the use of Eco- Friendly Ganpati.

Yuva Brigade volunteers also took up the initiative to clean up river cauvery in the kushalnagar area which was toxicated due to the garbage dumping by the localites. The initiative was named as “MYTREE” which included plantation of trees in the banks. The event was symbolic and included volunteers from Tamilnadu thereby giving a message that both the states should stop quarrelling and rather should try to save the lifeline cauvery.
Yuva Brigade conducted a series of Public Programs named ‘Black and White’ and ‘Cashless Dunia’ through which it have delivered the entire idea of Demonetization, its advantages and the total idea of Cashless economy to the public.
Under the banner of ‘Swachch Smarak Sundar Bharat’ Yuva Brigade have cleaned over 50 forts and historical monuments.
In collaboration with ICICI Bank, Yuva Brigade have been providing skill training for a span of 3 months with food and accommodation given free. Also they will be given jobs once training is complete.
Yuva brigade volunteers took up the initiative to educate people supporting Digital Democracy training people on shifting to Internet Banking and e-wallets and supporting for a digital India.
We all agree that a strong foundation of Nationalism is necessary to ensure the prosperity of the people. In accomplishment of that it has given adequate amount of time and energy in introducing the true heroes of our country.
Yuva Brigade has made short documentary films on the life of V.D. Savarkar, Tatya Tope, and Kargil War and has taken it to over a thousand schools and colleges across the state.
Also, Yuva Brigade have been introducing heroes like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Azad, Sardar Patel etc. to the society by celebrating their birthdays as public programs.
On occasion of Sister Nivedita’s 150th anniversary Yuva Brigade introduced her life through a documentary created completely by volunteers of Yuva Brigade. The video is being taken to schools and colleges across the state therby introducing this patriotic, spiritual giant to the generations to come.
Breaking the barriers of caste and religion
The major aspect that the organization is concerned is bringing oneness among each and every person of the society, breaking the bonds of Caste and Religion and bringing everybody under the shelter of humanity.
To accomplish this, Yuva brigade celebrated the 14th of February 2016 as Swachch Prem, where the volunteers went to colonies of the labor class and cleaned the roads and drainages of those areas.
Inspired by Shri. V.D.Savarkar and Shri. Babu JagJeevan Ram’s thoughts Yuva Brigade re-established the temples which had none to look after and allowed people from all religious background to worship the deity thus taking a step towards untouchability free India. This was named Hriday Mandir after Savarkar’s idea of Patit Paavan Mandir.
Yuva Brigade, known for its out of the box thinking celebrated Raksha Bandhan as Eeshaanya Bhandhan with the people of North East living in Karnataka. Spreading the message of the strong bond that lies between the South and North East India.
Ambeya Kugu, a series of public narrations in support of prevention of cow slaughtering by Mohd. Fiaz Khan. Over 30 public gatherings were addressed.

Year 2017 is very special for Yuva Brigade’s Sadbhavana wing. A series of programs by the title “Jaatiya Sankole Kaliyona Banni” which translates to welcoming of all to bring oneness and break the fences of caste.
The program included the messages from Ramanujacharya on occasion of his thousandth anniversary and B.R. Ambedkar symbolising the oneness these people preached though they were from different communities and era.
Yuva Brigade today has around 1,58,690 volunteers. It has covered four states, 28 districts and has successfully completed more than 100 projects.
