The citizen amendment bill was passed in Lok Sabha on the Last day of the Parliament. The Citizen amendment bill would allow the persecuted from oppressed communities in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh to migrate legally to India.
The oppressed communities include Hindus, Buddhist, Jains, Sikhs and Christians in Pak, Afgh and Bangladesh.

“Akhand Bharat should have been convenient, Partition on the basis of religion should not have happened,” Rajnath Singh says while speaking in Parliament on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
The citizen amendment bill was taken into consideration after thousands of people from minority community were prosecuted in the countries.
The most recent case was of Asia Bibi, a christian woman from Pakistan, who was tortured by the Pakistan government and sentenced to death.
Minority communities in both Pakistan and Bangladesh have been severely discriminated. Lakhs being forcefully converted. Thousands of them being tortured to death.
